Professional supervision offers an opportunity for a mindset reboot. Even the same situation looked at in a different way can reduce our stress response.
Exciting news! I’ve been developing a new mini e-course that is free for those on my mailing list. (Hint, hint – if you don’t already get my blogs regularly you can sign up here)
The title of the e-course is Dodge The Burnout Bullet – With a Work Mindset Reboot. It offers a simple process to help you view your work challenges and stress with a new perspective, gain optimism about the potential for change and increase your confidence to make the changes needed.
In my years as a professional supervisor I’ve come to understand the significant role that regular supervision can have in supporting recovery from burn-out. This is on top of providing assistance to avoid burning out in the first place.
There is a protective element to supervision. If we regularly pause to reflect and then proactively manage our stress and work challenges we can look after ourselves, build resilience and bounce back easier. A growth mindset helps with this. More on developing a growth mindset in the next blog….
Professional supervision offers an opportunity for a mindset reboot. Even the same situation looked at in a different way can reduce our stress response.
My new e-course has parallels with the supervision process, in that it involves reflection, clarification, gathering ideas or resources and then making a plan and commitment to a change or action. And it can be repeated frequently.
So if the little challenges in your work are starting to add up, check in for a work mindset reboot before they start to affect your wellbeing.
